I bought my first SLR camera as a when I was 17 years old, a Canon EOS. My best friend and I spent a great deal of time learning the ins and outs of film photography for a few years.
Unfortunately, I kind of lost track of my photography passion as I began my career in computers and started a family. My best friend went on to become a professional photographer.
Years later, my family and I moved to the Blue Ridge Mountains on North Carolina, and my passion for photography was renewed both by my wife’s interest, and frankly by all the beautiful scenery and photo opportunities that literally surround us.
My wife purchased a Canon Rebel DSLR for me about 6 years ago, and we started taking photos together. This led to the creation of our blog Blue Ridge Mountain Life and our very popular Blue Ridge Mountain Life Facebook page.
We don’t sell our photos, at least not yet. We take them for our own enjoyment, and the enjoyment of others. Photography is a difficult business to be successful in. But we certainly invite you to check out our photos, and hope you enjoy them!
